- ‘The Pain of the Ealdorman’, a magical cutlass that has a blade of iron, with a hilt wrapped in dull black calfskin. The blade is decorated with runes in Aquan that convey the meaning “Minion of Chaos”. The pommel is in the shape of a serpent’s head. The basket is solid with engravings on it. Its scabbard is simple, being made of iron. It was crafted by a now-forgotten master smith of a fallen empire. It was enchanted deep beneath the earth by Nai the Magus during the autumnal equinox
- ‘Chestbasher’, a famous fullblade that has a blade of steel, salvaged by Baron Efnisien Belpermir (the famous general) from the treasure of the tomb of St. Bessarion, the patron saint of village idiots and herbalists. Its hilt is wrapped in brass wire. The large, round pommel is stamped with the image of a hawk’s talons, and a red panda overlaid on a crown within a hexagon. Four quillions shaped like talons surround the blade. There is no scabbard present. It was forged by master smith Sigtryg Kormakson. It was sanctified by St. Peter the Chosen, who performed many miracles throughout his life in the temple of the deity of Wintertime
- ‘Vilyamirrist’, a magical short sword that has a blade composed of titanium combined with platinum, retrieved by the hero Sir Cadda from the spoils of the grave of St. Phoebe. Its hilt is wrapped in brown leather. The blade is inscribed with the motto “High Pleasure” in Common. A small rounded pommel provides balance. The simple round quillions each end in a nude female figurehead from the waist down, and the crossbar contains an average-sized uncut Smoky Quartz. The sword’s decorative elements are composed of steel, salvaged by the paladin Deian Hadraus from the hoard of the vault of St. Athanasia. There is no scabbard present. It was enchanted in a stone circle by the Sorcerer Brywain, the Journeyman Illusionist during the appearance of a comet
- The short sword of mighty power named ‘Reason-Bringer’ that has a blade of steel, mined by the slaves of a vampire. Its hilt is wrapped in demonskin. The blade is decorated with a thorn motif. A brass cap with 6 evenly-spaced studs serves as the pommel. There are straight, unremarkable triangular quillions at the crossbar. Its scabbard is simple, being made of high-carbon steel. It was forged by Carrow Venton (the famous ranger) and quenched in the blood of orcs. Something is known about the career of this blade’s former owner: “Acca was an explorer who left to join in a trek into the ‘Weak Sinkhole of the Wisdom’. Not far from the area referred to as ‘The Wondrous Brass Kennel’, he became hopelessly lost in a maze of illusory walls until he fell while being lowered by a rope into a chasm, to investigate it but, though separated from the main party, managed to survive, then disappeared in a flash of light”
