- Armored Marines: This force includes Duke, Crazylegs , Big Ben, Sidetrack, Steel Brigade Trooper and Shockwave. An additional team member, Clean-Sweep is available with magazine subscriptions. They're dressed primarily in faded brown and green with dark green highlights.
- Mountain Espionage Patrol: This team includes Snake-Eyes, Recondo, Thunderwing, Cannonball, Checkpoint and Hardball. They're dressed primarily in bright purple and faded gray with faded orange highlights. Figures include: flashlight, removable hat, microfigure of Crankcase, submachine gun, hose, shotgun and grappling hook. The team is available in two-packs and later repainted as a convention exclusive.
- All Terrain Sabotage Troopers: This force includes Heavy Duty, Cross-Country , Sergeant Slaughter, Lt Stone, T'Jbang and Sideswipe. An additional team member, Outback is available as a free mail-in offer. They're all dressed in traditional OD green uniforms designed to make them look like the original 13 Joes.
- High-Risk Detachment: This team includes Beach-Head, Snow Job, Wildcard, Grand Slam, Stalker and Rampart. They're dressed primarily in an ugly shade of purple and a strange shade of gold with faded orange highlights. Figures include: computer, backpack, nunchucks, rifle, backpack, removable diving gear and grappling hook. The team is available in two-packs and later as a mail-in.
- Star Troopers: This special unit includes Duke, Robo-JOE, Breaker, Checkpoint, Ozone and Beachhead. They're dressed primarily in dull brown and brown with dull white highlights. The team is available in two-packs and later repainted as a convention exclusive.
