- a halfling huntress (-Lvl 5-) who wants to desecrate as many of the dungeon’s altars as she can, since these mean nothing to her. The party should care because she demonstrates extensive knowledge of much that is hidden—and will reveal more in exchange for aid.
- a veteran craftswoman who hopes to find the rest of her party. The party should care because she secretly or overtly controls a powerful faction in the dungeon.
- a halfling hangman who is looking for a morningstar—a magical one he believes is somewhere in the dungeon. The party should care because he is actually part faerie, leprechaun or something else enchanting and/or annoying … so if the PCs don’t help him, things may get a bit “whimsical”.
- a fisherwoman who intends to field-test her new short sword. The party should care because she is an (average PC level + 1) wizard with her mojo working … so if the party fails to help her enough, she may kill them all.
- a female assassin (-Lvl 4-) who is hoping to find a jewel that she believes has magical powers and is in the dungeon. The party should care because she is in a position to offer the PCs a sizable monetary reward once she is safely out of the dungeon.
