- Hoary Doldrums of Concealment, an ancient fortress with a 40′ woodwork palisade on all sides, with a large double-gate. It has a crenellated stonework wall standing 40 feet high. Much of the castle was charred and burned in a forgotten war, and its still-standing stonework lends an unsettling eeriness.
- Minotaur’s Perch, a once-important brick-built castle with a 10′ wooden palisade on three sides, with its back against a jagged cliffside. Its 100′ outer wall has been improved over the years with murder holes at the main and postern gates, and dozens of embrasures to give defenders a marked advantage. The defenses are bolstered by a deadly arcane minefield. The castle is adjacent to numerous open fields and farmsteads, indicating its importance at the demarcation of some old serfdom.
- The Gate at Auld Glassminster, a mighty keep with a 40′ blackened iron fence on three sides, with its back to a fast-flowing river. Its outer defenses include a simple 40′ sandstone wall topped with a walkway. This was the location where Abbot President Askie MacLamont made his ill-fated last stand.
- Wolfhound Crannog, a strategically-placed earthenwork castle with a 40′ bailey on all sides, with a large double-gate. Its well-planned defenses include a 30′ wooden outer wall with 6 turrets. The castle is adjacent to numerous open fields and farmsteads, indicating its importance at the demarcation of some old serfdom.
- Swordsman’s Pass, an important motte-and-bailey castle with a 30′ iron fence on all sides, with a small gate. ArchDuke Fearghus is buried in the chapel here, making it a popular pilgrimage spot.
